97 corsair icue ql140 rgb dual fan kit with lighting.
Corsair lighting node pro rgb review.
The corsair commander pro s packaging is compact and simple.
On the other hand the lighting node pro is a small hub with two rgb led headers but the package contains 4 rgb led strips.
If you were to buy that separately the equivalent product is the 80 icue sp120 rgb pro kit which has the three fans and the lighting node core so the 40 premium isn t too bad.
Others have better color and brightness.
Again we see corsair using the black and yellow color theme.
Had to use a node pro from the ll fans to get the led strip working.
Also compared to other led lighting strips the only good thing about these are the magnets.
The node pro i got was just a dud.
The ql140 rgb pwm fans with lighting node core is silent brilliant to look at and flood the chassis with air and a full array of colors.
Not impressed for 60.
Which brings me to the subject of the corsair lighting node pro.
Ironically the hardwired controller that came with the hd 120 rgb fans that i used with the lighting node pro has more and better lighting options then the controller software being foisted on us by corsair.
However the 4000x rgb comes with a 40 premium gets you three rgb fans at the fronts and the corsair lighting node core.
The corsair lighting node pro rgb is a controller that allows the users to either connect up to 6 hd sp rgb fans or a combination of the provided individually addressable rgb led strips and the rgb fans to control the lighting using the corsair link software definitely a handy and much desired feature.
